A 56-year-old woman died in a fatal accident on Dorchester Road near the Old Fort Fire Department on February 17, 2014, according to authorities.
The accident happened while the woman’s 55-year-old husband was driving their pickup truck, going west on Dorchester Road at about 6:45 p.m.
The Toyota pickup driven by the husband mounted the curb and headed down the embankment, according to officials. The truck allegedly attempted to go around a car that was stopped for traffic.
The woman was said to be hanging hallway out of the truck, with her seat belt being the only thing keeping her inside.
