56-year-old Woman Dies in Car Accident

Bill Green, your Charleston personal injury and accident attorney, is here to help if you are ever involved in an accident.

A 56-year-old woman died in a fatal accident on Dorchester Road near the Old Fort Fire Department on February 17, 2014, according to authorities.

The accident happened while the woman’s 55-year-old husband was driving their pickup truck, going west on Dorchester Road at about 6:45 p.m.

The Toyota pickup driven by the husband mounted the curb and headed down the embankment, according to officials.  The truck allegedly attempted to go around a car that was stopped for traffic.

The woman was said to be hanging hallway out of the truck, with her seat belt being the only thing keeping her inside.

No charges have been filed, according to officials, but they said that violations in construction zones have stiffer penalties. None of the people mentioned or referred to in this article are clients or affiliates of The Green Law Firm.
