Attorney Bill Green is proud to announce his support of Charleston’s section of HALOS.
HALOS provides resources and opportunities to abused or neglected children in the Charleston area.
The program was founded in 1997 by child psychiatrist and pediatrician Dr. Eve Spratt, who was dismayed at how few resources Charleston had for abused or neglected children. She organized a meeting with a group of employees from the Department of Social Services, business leaders, religious leaders and politicians to discuss the gaps in resources for children. The caseworks told the local leaders what they needed the most and HALOS was formed.
The HALOS program was so successful in Charleston that in 2004, the program received a grant to expand to three other cities. The program is now able to support children in Lancaster County, Dillon County and Greene County.
However, HALOS needs continuous community support to expand. The charity is always in need of donations such as cribs, bedding, diapers, and baby wipes.
The Green Law Firm has committed to helping HALOS by running a diaper drive. We will be donating diapers, Pull-ups and baby wipes to HALOS and would like to encourage the community to donate as well!
You can donate directly to HALOS or you can drop any items you wish to donate off at The Green Law Firm and we’ll take them with us when we donate our supplies.
